Activations at station external sites are extremely popular, especially over the summer months. This Sainsbury’s activation from this summer is a great example – a promotion for the brand’s ‘Inspire to Cook’ range was set up on the external site of King’s Cross station, making it accessible to a wider audience. The combined footfall for the activation reached 238,601!
A range of brands have used the external space at stations recently. ITV launched their X streaming platform with a giant popcorn dispenser on London Victoria station‘s external site. Outdoor spaces are particularly popular for food and drink sampling activations: Cadbury’s visited the external site at Euston station to hand out Time Out bars, while Chocomel gave out samples of their product outside of Birmingham New Street station. Eatplanted were able to connect with consumers and give them a taste of their meat substitute products by using the external site at London Charing Cross station.
